Shamyia Drummond is a sophomore at Tupelo High School. She enjoys modeling, dancing and singing. She is an avid basketball lover who also plays on her high school team and AAU team. She is a member of the 4H Club and Young and Talented of Tupelo, MS. Shamiya began her pageant journey at age 5. During her years in pageantry, she has had numerous accolades with different pageant systems, which include Top Model, Most Talented, and Most Photogenic (National American Miss Organization). In 2019 She won Modern America Mississippi Pre-teen and is the reigning Miss Black Mississippi USA Talented Teen. Shamiya's platform is bringing awareness to the effects of bullying and promoting high self-esteem. She loves to speak to other youth about her experience and how she overcame the hurt and emotional effects it have. Shamyia's ambition is to continue modeling when opportunities arise and play college basketball while focusing on becoming an OBGYN physician.
