October 1, the Miss Black Mississippi USA Pageant opened its application process for the 2024 competition. Ladies, this is your chance to represent your hometown, county or city on the state pageant stage September 2023. We will be back in the "Hub City" for a second year. The official date will be announced soon.
The criteria to compete in the Miss Black Misssissippi USA Pageant is seen below.
Between the ages of 13 - 19 (Talented Teen), 20 - 27 (Miss) and 28 - 45 (Ms) as of January 2023
Never given birth or married (only for the Talented Teen and Miss divisions). Ms division can be married, divorced or a Parent.
Attend High School, College/University, reside or work within the state of Mississippi.
Of African descent.
Never posed nude or presented self in a negative light on social or printed media.
The Miss Black Mississippi USA pageant is the official state preliminary to the Miss Black USA Pageant. The winners of this pageant will earn the opportunity to represent this state throughout her reign and be offered over $3K + in prizes including paid fees to compete on the national stage, August 2024.
Contestants in the 2024 competition will receive not only a tshirt but a custom opening number dress from famous pageant gown and shoe designer, Marc Defang. Applications are now available through December 31, 2022. Application fee is $50.
