Cathalene is a dually enrolled student at Early College High School located on Nashville State Community College Campus. She is a Senior taking all college courses, and her pathway is health sciences. She has a creative personality. She writes and recites poems, draws, and sings. Cathalene serves as the first National Honor Society President. Cathalene is a decade-long member of the NAACP with a bronze medal in the ACT-SO youth academic and talent competition for Spoken Word. Furthermore, she served on the Student Council for three years and is currently the Chief Editor of the Yearbook Club. Cathalene plans to study medicine at a HBCU. Cathalene is the newly crowned Miss Black Tennessee Talented Teen. Her platform is S.O.I.L., Serving Others In Life through volunteering, leadership, and service. She donates time and talents to various organizations to prove that people are like seeds; with watering care and a strong soil foundation, everyone can grow. Her motto is “Do not complain about problems without creating solutions.” She loves God, her family, making As, and helping others.
